"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." (Acts 2:46-47)

Every Friday the church meets in different homegroups to worship God and learn about truth from the Bible together. Fellowship in small groups is different from fellowship with the church as a whole on Sundays, as it lets us spend more time developing closer friendships with each other. We can share at a more personal level about what God is doing in our lives. This ensures that the church remains united as a community which can move as one with the Holy Spirit.

During homegroup, we encourage each other in our growth as Christians, are accountable to one another, and follow as a group the direction that God unfolds for us week by week. It is amazing to see the way God may have been speaking to each of us as individuals over the past week with the same message for the group as a whole.

Most importantly, homegroup (like Sunday service) is a place where we meet with our Lord, and can invite our friends to meet with Him. "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20). Here we are stretched and equipped to live as a member of God's army, with teaching and training that reinforces the teaching on Sundays. In a world in which it is often exhausting to live out one's Christian values and beliefs, homegroup is an opportunity to take time off from the daily grind to be refreshed as we meet with God and with each other.
